"Some days you just have to create your own sunshine."

In today's day and age seems like people care more about how your life is percieved by others in social media and by friends and family then how good, with quality we live it daily. Many times what is percieves to be is far from what it is. Let's face it, nobody has a good day, every day but it's definitely worth of making an effort to live in present and make each day for ourselves just a little bit better.

We, women never fail to put our best foot forward when it comes to making people we love, our boyfriends, husbands, kids and friends happy, but how about yourself?  How much do we love and care about ourselves? I am a firm believer that if you don't do your best to make yourself happy and make your moments alone with yourself special, you simply can't give your best to those you love.

Now, how do we make ourselves happy every day, every moment? (and NO this won't make you look selfish, it will make you confident, beautiful and healthy).

You don't need to have a lot of money or any special skills, just take every moment in your day, give your 100% focus into it and make it special. This means enjoying the quite time alone, focusing on one task at the time (multitasking is often overrated) and giving it all your love and creativity.

Here are some of the ideas to get you started on enjoying little moments of luxury alone or in the company of loved ones every day, each moment of the day:

Get up half an hour earlier in the Saturday morning and prepare a luxurious breakfast for your best friend and you (click to download my breakfast cookbook with week worth of breakfast recipes).

#2 Do A DIY project - it always feels good to do something with your own hands. For example a home made room scent.

#3 Don't just drink glass of water - add a slice of lemon, maybe some beries and couple of mint leaves to it to add flavor. Before their season ends I invest and buy a lot of fresh berries, wash them and freeze them in ice cubes in the ice mold and use them for flavored water and coctails all Fall & Winter long.

When it comes to cooking try to have fun. I do my grocery shopping over weekend and try to challenge myself and pick a theme. One week I try Indian cousine, one Mexican etc.

You don't need to get a professional blow dry every day for your hair to look effortless but fabulous. There is nothing more boring then wearing a ponytail everyday. Check out my post with 3 trendy hairdo's inspired by runway shows here. There are also some awesome youtubers who show you step by step how to do beautiful daily hairdos in less then 10 minutes. It's important to look good for yourself!

When it comes to dressing, organize your closet after washing and ironing your clothing (I do it on weekend) to match your lifestyle. Since I work from home I plan my outfits (including shoes and accessory) differently for days with out of office meetings, for my boyfriends games and for office work from home. This helps me to get ready for work day in 15 minutes every day.

With our stressful and buisy lifestyles often we end up finishing our day with taking our smartphones and laptops to bed this is bad both for our relationships and for our health. Your body and mind needs time to unwind. Make sure you set the time (7 or 8 pm) when you close your laptop and put away your phone and think of fun activity to do with your loved ones or alone, watch a movie or just have a dark belgium chocolate truffle with a glass of red wine while watching your favorite show.

Hopefully you ladies got inspired to try and create your own moment of luxury in your daily routine.
