Mental snapshot.

Mental snapshot taken. Just as easy as that. Despite our fancy cameras, smart phones, tablets there are still those moments, those one of a kind moments, feelings, smells, sounds, memories we feel to the fullest as they are happening, we recognize how special, valuable, emotional and rare they are and we take a snap of them. We just want to hold onto them, treasure them and memorize them forever.

Even though I am not overly religious and don't think much about life after this life I live now, I do hope that when the moment comes, when I do pass away that I do see a sort of a slide show of all of the mental snapshots I took during my life.

What kind of mental snapshots did I take?

I remember a mental snapshot I took a long time ago in New York, after leaving my workplace in the Rugby Ralph Lauren for the last time after I decided to go back to Croatia. I was nervous all day, then I said goodbye to everyone, hugged them and rushed home, just like any other day. After I crossed the road I stopped and turned around. I remember seeing the window display and admiring it like I saw it for the first time, the warm Summer wind was blowing. I was still, just observing, breading deeply, while everyone around me were rushing, I pressed the 'pause' button, there, on the crossroad of University Place and 14th Street. Click.

A more recent snapshot I took was at the Red Island in Croatia, on top of the small lighthouse, this was my boyfriend's and mine first weekend vacation together, we wanted to run away from everything for just two days. It was dark, we stayed at a beautiful apartment complex which had a small lighthouse, there in the middle of the island. I was wearing a floral dress with a black lacy straps, we ordered dinner in the room and went for a late night exploring walk around the island. This is when we claimed up the small lighthouse to look at the stars. It was a bit chilly up there and he kissed me on the neck like he does before we go to sleep. Click.

Did you take any snapshots recently lovelies?
